You have questions. I have some answers.

Q: I know that “All American” from CW completed its eighth and probably final season. Why has it not been broadcast?

A: It will be. The eighth — and yes, final — season of the show will begin with a two-hour premiere on July 13 on The CW. There will also be a “Final Season Special” on June 22 which “will look back at the show’s most memorable moments, relationships, and milestones.” As for the eighth season, the network says it “picks up six months after the football cliffhanger at the end of last season and will span just one week in our favorite Beverly and Crenshaw crew’s life. A week that will have them wondering if everything they’ve been through over the course of their lives has prepared them for this moment. A week that will ultimately reunite old with the new, friend with enemy, and alter the course of each of their futures forever.”

Q: We would very much like to know if “The Equalizer” and “Doctor Odyssey” will return in 2026 or 2027.

A: No. “The Equalizer,” which starred Queen Latifah in a reworking of the concept from an earlier TV series and Denzel Washington movies, ended after five seasons in May 2025. You can still see the old episodes on Paramount+. “Doctor Odyssey,” with Joshua Jackson as a doctor on a luxury cruise ship, ended after a single season, also in May 2025. You can find its episodes on Hulu and Disney+.

Q: Is the watchable “Nobody Wants This” coming back?

A: Yes. Netflix announced in April that a third season of the rom-com had begun production for telecast later this year. The show stars Kristen Bell as Joanne, an agnostic podcaster in a romance with a rabbi, Noah (Adam Brody). Cast additions for the third season include Sarah Silverman and Andrew Rannells in recurring roles.

At the end of the second season, says Netflix, “Joanne finally decides to convert to Judaism — just as Noah realized he wants to be with her no matter what she chooses.” Expect friction.

Q: When is “Best Medicine” airing?

A: The Fox drama based on the British series “Doc Martin” has certainly gotten attention – including in this column and in an item on “Jeopardy!” not long ago. It has been renewed for a second season and will be on Fox on Tuesday nights in the fall. It is on a break for the time being, but you can find the first season’s episodes on Hulu, Disney+ and on demand.

Regular readers know I have made several mentions of early-morning farming shows. One reader offered this reflection:

I remember watching two shows in the early ‘50s: “Modern Farmer” and “Agriculture USA.” Both greatly influenced my life, since I eventually became a commercial agricultural crop production specialist. The power of television was real for me.
