My Answer

From the writings of the Rev. Billy Graham

Q: What did Jesus mean when He said that the world will become like it was in the days of Noah? That was certainly an ancient time and I apparently don’t understand exactly how the world can become that again. – D.N.

A: Jesus said in Matthew 24:37, “As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be” (NKJV). Jesus is coming back to this world, and the time is nearer than at any other time in history. He gave the signs of the times when He said that there will be a moral permissiveness. We certainly see this in the world.

The Bible also tells us, “In the last days, perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God” (2 Timothy 3:1–4, NKJV).

Who can possibly say that this does not describe the world today?

We’re also told that “in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron” (1 Timothy 4:1–2, NKJV). We are warned that we should “no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting” (Ephesians 4:14, NKJV).

Just know that Jesus Christ is going to return to this earth and set things right. He will be the Judge, and He will reign as the King of kings. There is a better day coming, and we must heed the warnings and prepare to meet God, who does all things right!
